Program Reputation
Player Issues – There are several problems with the Jumpman Gaming properties. This include a problematic dormancy term that allows the operator to seize the entire balance, rather than a reasonable fee for account administration, once an account has been deemed inactive and a maximum withdrawal term that fails to exclude progressive jackpot wins.
Affiliate Issues – We are not aware of any affiliate issues with Tea Time Bingo Affiliates.
Notes
Affiliates should be aware of the following term:
“14.2. The Affiliate shall, on notice from the Operator, share its database of Affiliate Customers with the Operator (via a secure method as notified by the Operator to the Affiliate from time-to-time) prior to sending any direct marketing (the “Excluded Customers API”). The Excluded Customers API will permit the Operator to identify any Excluded Customers who should not receive Promotional Messaging– whether because of objections or whether required in accordance with legal or regulatory obligations. The Operator will remove the Excluded Customers from the Affiliate Customers and return to the Affiliate the Affiliate Marketing Customers (which for the avoidance of doubt shall be the Affiliate Customers less the Excluded Customers). The Operator shall only use data provided to it in respect of the Excluded Customers API for the removal of Excluded Customers from the Affiliate Customers and for no other purpose. The removal of the Excluded Customers following the Excluded Customers API shall not relieve the Affiliate of any of its obligations under this Clause 14.”
This term requires the affiliate to provide the operator with their full email marketing list before sending promotional emails.
Conclusion
The player issues with the Tea Time Bingo Affiliate properties are significant enough that we won’t send traffic to them but not so significant that we’d frown on other affiliates that chose to work with them.
Putting that aside and looking only at the affiliate terms and conditions offered by Tea Time Bingo Affiliates unfortunately these terms provide other reasons that affiliates should think twice. A short summary follows below:
• Minimum Activity Quota – Tea Time Bingo Affiliates retain the right to close your account and seize any future earnings if you do not continue to promote their brand, effectively handcuffing the affiliate to the operator is they want to receive the full value of their referrals.
• Lack of revenue ladder – Tea Time Bingo Affiliates lay out all their rights and requirements at length but do not set out how they intend to recompense affiliates for their efforts.
• Commission Term – Tea Time Bingo Affiliates limit revenue to being earned for the first 9 months after player registration.
• Email list – Tea Time Bingo Affiliates retain the right to review the affiliate’s email list in full. Setting aside data protection concerns in this practice (the affiliate would need to ensure that their terms and conditions accounted for sharing personal data in this manner), is an industry where email lists have been sold and mis-used so widely, it would seem very unwise for any affiliate to provide this type of information to another company that could stand to make a significant commercial gain from this type of information.
Even if we forget all about the player issues and look only at the affiliate terms, Tea Time Bingo Affiliates aren’t attractive. This isn’t a group we’d recommend affiliates work with.
