Program Reputation

Player Issues – LeoVegas was involved in a fund confiscation that we view as unacceptable. They allowed a player to break a maximum bet term during bonus play repeatedly for months on end over hundreds of deposits. This was fine while the player was losing or only winning small amounts. When the player hit a big win the casino enforced the maximum bet term. When pointed out to the casino that this was unfair practice and that the term needs to be consistently applied they declined to do so.

Affiliate Issues – We are aware of no unresolved affiliate issues at any major affiliate portals.

Notes

Affiliates should be aware of the following term related to plagiarism:

“4.8. Copying of Sites or Theft of Site Content
Due to an increase in complaints regarding the above, if it can be proven that affiliate earnings have been lost due to an incident of copying theft, revenue generated by the offending affiliate may be paid to the aggrieved party. Complaints should be sent to affiliates@leovegas.com for investigation.”

Affiliates should be aware of the following term:

4.0 Your Obligations

You shall permit LeoVegas (or a person on LeoVegas’ behalf) to audit Your books, records, systems, data, marketing communication consents and other materials to ensure compliance with this Agreement

You shall take reasonable steps to ensure the reliability and proper training of Your employees and that such employees understand the data protection and marketing requirements applicable to both the Affiliate and to LeoVegas.

This term demands an unprecedented level of access to privileged information that has little or no bearing on Data Protection laws. No part of the GDPR required LeoVegas Affiliates to act as an auditor of the affiliate’s books.

Conclusion

While we will not recommend that players engage with any group that inconsistently enforces terms and conditions in the manner that LeoVegas have done, given the low level of unresolved player complaints generated by this group we could understand other affiliates choosing to overlook this issue.

Looking at the LeoVegas Affiliates terms and conditions, there insistance on their right to review your company’s private information should be a stone wall to any relationship between affiliates and this company. No affiliate with any business acumen would agree to this term. We won’t and we won’t encourage other affiliates to either.
