Affiliates should be aware of the following terms:

“9.10 Kroon Affiliates can at all times adjust the percentages downwards in the case of demonstrable decreases in the performance of an Affiliate or a less active promotion policy by the Affiliate.”

and

“9.11 If an Affiliate does not promote Kroon Casino Websites actively, then he is still assured of a remuneration with a minimum of 10%.”

10% is less than the 15% bar that we consider an effective Minimum Activity Quota as the revenue level is too low to be in any way sustainable for the affiliate and as such they lose out on the value of their historic traffic.

“9.3 The balance at the end of the month is always zero. This means that a player cannot have a negative balance at the end of the month (Kroon Affiliates does not make use of a negative carry-over). Kroon Affiliates still holds the right to quarantine a player that made some big winnings. He is put in quarantine until he reaches zero again. This prevents an Affiliate from a negative balance at the end of the month.
9.4 In case of a quarantined player (9.3), Kroon Affiliates and the Affiliate have to sign a quarantine form, which states that the a) Affiliate agrees to quarantine the player en b) the player is removed from quarantine as soon as he is on 0 again.
9.5 If an Affiliate does not agree with the quarantine of a player, then the Affiliate will not be on a balance of zero and the end of the month. In this case, the negative balance at the end of the month, counts as the starting balance for the next month. Affiliates do not have to pay Kroon Affiliates for levelling the negative balance: in the next month(s), the other revenues will be added to the negative balance and compensation takes place based on the net revenues of other referred players/customers.”

Affiliate Issues – The Affiliate Lounge group – who now own Kroon – has retroactively enforced new terms and conditions on old affiliates. While these changes were subsequently reverted, this does not change the fact that this policy was put in place and affiliates over a period of 1-2 years were negatively impacted by this unethical behaviour.

Affiliate Lounge also widely enforce a minimum activity clause in a manner that appears to go beyond its stated purpose.

Conclusion

Where players are concerned, the Affiliate Lounge properties will not work with 3rd party dispute mediation services which is no good thing. It is fair to say however, given the footprint of the AffiliateLounge group, that the level of complaints is low.

For affiliates there are two significant factors that should be considered before working with AffiliateLounge:

• They have retroactively changed terms before. As much as this was largely reverted later it’s a highly concerning and destabilising business practice and should give any affiliate pause for thought before considering themselves secure.

• They have engaged in what appears to be widespread closure of affiliate accounts due to low activity, so if you’re not a big affiliate intending to give high levels of exposure this could very well represent a significant problem for you.

All in all we just can’t recommend and of the AffiliateLounge owned properties to affiliates due to their business practices, which make for a distinctly insecure relationship.
