Program Reputation

Player Issues – ScandiBet have a number of problematic terms that prevent us recommending their service to players. These include a predatory dormancy term, a maximum win cap and vague withdrawal terms.

Affiliate Issues – We are not aware of any affiliate issues with High Five Affiliates.

Notes

Affiliates should be aware of the following terms:

“8.3.1 All rights that have been granted to the Affiliate will be immediately terminated. The Affiliate will remove all references to ScandiBet.com from his affiliate-site(s) and marketing channels, regardless of whether the marketing channels are commercial or other type of marketing channels.”

This term effectively grants the affiliate program the right to censor anything you may publish on your site, whether factually accurate or not if they decide to terminate the affiliate agreement. This is extremely detrimental to any affiliate who engages in reviewing activity.

Conclusion

From a player perspective there are a number of terms that prevent us from recommending ScandiBet to players. However, we would not frown upon other affiliates that chose to do so.

In terms of an affiliate contract, the same issues occur again with multiple problematic terms that are summarised below:

– No definition of how negative balances are managed at the end of the month. Whether or not a program carries forward negative balances can make a very significant difference to the potential profitability of a partnership for the affiliate. Not including this information is a critical oversight.

– Minimum Activity Quota – This effectively means that once you start promoting this program you’re handcuffed to them forever more if you want to receive the full value of your historic referrals. This creates a financial incentive to continue promoting this program even if they may not be the best choice for your traffic.

– Their gagging clause. There’s no good reason to carry this type of term. Of course commercial content has to be removed when the relationship is terminated. But factually inaccurate non-commercial content is already covered by libel laws. There’s no need to include a term like this for inaccurate material. As such the only reason to include this term is to force the removal of factually accurate content that the operator simply does not want you to share. For any affiliate that has any stake in ensuring player trust this term is extremely problematic.

These terms are highly problematic and we would not recommend affiliates engage with them.
