Affiliate Issues – Affiliate Republik used to represent Tropezia Palace. This operator shifted to their own affiliate program – adding negative carry over to their terms at the time they did so – but remained under the same ownership. This appears to us to be a retroactive term change disguised in company restructuring.
Tropezia Palace Affiliates provided no terms and conditions documentation at the time of this review.
Tropezia Palace appear to be a well-run operation as far as player’s are concerned.
From an affiliate perspective, their recent decision to shift off of the Affiliate Republik affiliate program, while retaining the same ownership, while at the same time adding Negative Carry Over to the terms on the new program seems to us to be an attempt to add a negative term while side stepping being called up for retroactively changing terms and conditions.
Even if that’s not the case and Tropezia Palace Affiliate are a totally different entity owned by completely different people, they’ve still enforced new terms retroactively. This practice leave the affiliate with no stability as the contract that they agreed to can change at any time in any fashion and the affiliate has no choice but to agree to the new terms if they wish to receive their historic income. Needless to say in general contract law doesn’t allow for terms that provide that much power to one party.
