Player Issues – The AffPower operators have a large array of player issues.
To begin with they carry terms and conditions restricting the maximum allowed bet a player can make, even when not playing with a bonus. This is highly problematic as players who decline bonuses expect to be able to play without restriction beyond those detailed within the games they play. Worse than this however, this group have been enforcing this rule on the entire balance. For example a player makes a deposit and places one bet that violates the maximum bet rule, the operator then considers all funds in the player’s balance void to them. This term and the way it’s being used is beyond Predatory and goes all the way into totally unethical.
During the management of a complaint dealing with the above, when it became clear that we would not support the operator in this practice instead directing the player to the operator’s regulator the operator became non-responsive. This then impacted another complaint where the operator openly admitted that they were due payment to the player and had agreed to pay the necessary instalments. When they became non-responsive to us they once again stopped paying the instalments that’d they’d acknowledged they owed. It should be noted that this issue was ultimately resolved when the operator paid the final instalment 3 years after the player won.
Throughout our experiences with this group we have seen numerous examples of the operator manipulating players with a ‘maybe if you played a bit more we’d be able to pay you faster’ approach after extended payment delays. This in entirely unacceptable as a professional practice.

Affiliate Issues – In late 2014 an affiliate was found to be engaged in large scale hacking of WordPress sites. They were using security loopholes to access the sites then uploading a page of casino reviews. All affiliate programs have clear terms and conditions prohibiting this type of marketing. While some affiliate programs managed to shut this affiliate down quickly and stopped appearing on the hacked sites quickly, other programs either failed to stop the affiliate from opening new accounts or simply didn’t shut down the original accounts.
Some of the brands being operated by the AffPower group continued to appear on these sites for many months after they were made aware of this issue.

Conclusion
AffPower are, in our opinion, a most dangerous breed. They’re trying to legitimise rogue practices through use of terms and conditions. This is leading to unsuspecting players being caught in term traps that lead to unjustified financial damage.
Beyond the player issues, and we really need no reason to look beyond them given their nature, the cavalier and irresponsible attitude presented by this group when it came to their business partners’ malpractice should be downright offensive to any affiliate that cares about their reputation.
We will be very clear about this, it is the opinion of POGGWebmasters that if you are sending traffic to the AffPower group you are directly responsible for risking your players and actively damaging the industry for all of us.
