Terms and Conditions

Minimum Activity Quota – Yes, see below;

“2. On joining this Affiliate Program your account will be set to our default commission of 20% of net revenue, rising to 40% based upon your performance but subject to achieving new FTDs in any 3 month period where failure to do so will result in a base commission rate of 12.5% of net revenue.”

12.5% is beneath the 15% bar that we consider a Minimum Activity Quota.

and

“14. If you decide, for whatever reason, to cease promoting Affilistar’s brands, it is your responsibility to notify Affilistars of this fact, withdraw your remaining funds and request to inactivate your account. If you fail to do so, Affilistars reserves the right to tag an inactive account as dormant.
o 14.1 In the case of CPA deals, an inactive account that is deemed as dormant is an account that does not generate any traffic for a continuous period of 90 days.
o 14.2 In the case of Revenue Share deals, an inactive account that is deemed as dormant is an account that does not generate any gaming revenue for a continuous period of 90 days.
• 15. After the 90 day period a notification will be issued alerting you to the fact that the account is now deemed dormant due to inactivity. Affilistars will then give you a further 30 days in which to respond and confirm that you wish to stop promoting Affilistar’s brands and close your account, or to work with Affilistars to reactivate your account and start promoting and earning money again.
• 16. If no response is received to Affilistars attempts to contact you during that 30 day period, your account will be closed and earnings remaining in your balance may be removed.”

and

Program Reputation

Player Issues – The AffiliStar venues have been inconsistent in their willingness to engage in the management of player complaints via 3rd party dispute resolution services.

We have reason to believe that this group is associated with iAffiliates group who appear to have similar problems.

For references see – http://thepogg.com/appendix-casino-reviews/#Mansion_Group.

Affiliate Issues – In late 2014 an affiliate was found to be engaged in large scale hacking of WordPress sites. They were using security loopholes to access the sites then uploading a page of casino reviews. All affiliate programs have clear terms and conditions prohibiting this type of marketing. While some affiliate programs managed to shut this affiliate down quickly and stopped appearing on the hacked sites quickly, other programs either failed to stop the affiliate from opening new accounts or simply didn’t shut down the original accounts.

Some of the brands being operated by the iAffiliate group continued to appear on these sites for many months after they were made aware of this issue.

Conclusion

What appears to be a hidden association between AffiliStars and iAffiliates doesn’t fill us with confidence in the first instance. That both these groups have player issues only makes this worse.

As far as their affiliate terms and conditions go there are some significant negatives that affiliates should be aware of before considering working with this group, which are summarized below:

• Negative Carryover policies – if your players have a win large enough to create a significant negative balance for you, this creates a situation where you no longer have any incentive to carry on marketing the program’s brands. This leads to a short-term mind set to working relationship between the affiliate and the program.

• The right to drop your revenue to unsustainable levels (12.5%) if you fail to send a new player in a 3 month period. For a small affiliate, or an affiliate who simply doesn’t intend this group to have premium placement, this represents a significant risk to your earning potential. We consider this a Minimum Activity Quota and as such this group automatically receive Not Recommended status.

• The right to seize the funds in your account if you do not request a withdrawal/send a new player for 180 days.

All things considered there are better programs that affiliates can work with for both themselves and their players.
