Player Issues – There are several problems with the Jumpman Gaming properties. This include a problematic dormancy term that allows the operator to seize the entire balance, rather than a reasonable fee for account administration, once an account has been deemed inactive and a maximum withdrawal term that fails to exclude progressive jackpot wins.
Affiliate Issues – While not explicitly defined, we believe the Affiliate SOS properties to be owned by the same people as the Jupiter Online Gaming properties. Our justifications for this belief:
i) The Free Spirit Bingo Affiliate terms and conditions explicitly mention BingoMinions – one of the properties run by Jupiter Online Gaming.
ii) Slots Hangout list two contact email addresses – firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com the latter of which matches the email address used by Affiliates SOS. Having conducted a Google search for the first email address the second result was a LinkedIn profile for the owner of Jupiter Online Gaming.
It should be noted that this individual, alongside appearing to own a number of Bingo operators, also owns a very prominent online Bingo review site. As such their business is reviewing their own services and is in direct competition with any Bingo affiliate working with them. For both players and affiliates this creates a potential conflict of interests.
We also feel that the ‘Bingo Minions’ site is using branding that is far too close in terms of name and appearance to the Universal Pictures Despicable Me franchise characters. Whether or not this is enough to get them in trouble legally is something a court would have to decide, but this type of branding certainly doesn’t appear to be original to the owners and make us highly uncomfortable.
The player issues with the Affiliates SOS properties are significant enough that we won’t send traffic to them but not so significant that we’d frown on other affiliates that chose to work with them.
Putting that aside and looking only at the affiliate terms and conditions offered by Affiliates SOS unfortunately these terms provide other reasons that affiliates should think twice. A short summary follows below:
• Failure to define important aspects of the contract – This program fail to inform affiliate either how Net Revenue is calculated nor what happens with negative balances at the end of the month.
• Invoice requirements – Unlike the majority of programs Affiliates SOS require invoices before they’ll issue payments. They combine this with a term allowing them to seize any balances not invoiced within 90 days. You need to keep a sharp eye on your account and ensure you’re invoicing regularly or risk the program simply deciding to keep your earnings.
With no information on policies that could have a big impact on your bottom line, terms allowing the program to retain any earnings not invoiced within 90 days and various problematic player terms, Affiliate SOS simply isn’t a program we could recommend.
