Notes

Affiliates should be aware of the following term:

“7.3 the contracting parties hereby agree that upon the termination of this Agreement, howsoever occasioned:

A) the Affiliate must, within seventy two hours of receipt of the abovementioned notification, remove all references to the Company and/or its Websites, brands, trademarks and trade names from the Affiliate Websites and other marketing channel and communications.”

This term effectively grants the affiliate program the right to censor anything you may publish on your site, whether factually accurate or not if they decide to terminate the affiliate agreement. This is extremely detrimental to any affiliate who engages in reviewing activity.

Conclusion

79Affiliates offer some properties that hold a reasonable license and don’t have any notable unresolved player complaints. On the affiliate side of the table things aren’t as clear cut. A flat rate 30% Revenue Share is low if you don’t negotiate a bespoke deal, but more concerning for us is the termination gagging clause which allows the operator to censor your content if they decide to end the relationship. This is highly problematic for any affiliate who intends to provide accurate information to players whether it is positive of negative. We won’t work with this program due to this term, it’s up to other affiliates to decide whether this is a claus they can live with.
