Player Issues – 18Bet casino previously held ThePOGG Deposit Guarantee seal. To gain this seal the operator has to agree to discuss all complaints full and ensure that any fund confiscations are justified by a clearly defined term.
The first player that we sent to 18Bet ended up having their balance confiscated and submitting a complaint to us. While the casino did discuss the play fully, the confiscation was based on a term prohibiting “non-recreational” play without defining what that meant. In this instance the player used the well-known Martingale Negative Progression betting system. This is not a professional playing strategy and cannot by itself overcome the House Edge.
Despite the confiscation not being justified by clear terms and conditions 18Bet chose to hold to their position and as such lost our seal.

Affiliate Issues – We are aware of no unresolved affiliate issues at any major affiliate portals.
Broadly speaking, 18Bet have a good reputation with players. For obvious reasons, given the serious nature of the agreement that is entered when we grant an operator our Deposit Guarantee Seal, the casual disregard that was shown for the terms that 18Bet accepted certainly makes us feel that they behave in a less than professional manner in their relationship with ThePOGG.
Other than our experience though, there’s not much criticism to be levelled at 18Bet from the player perspective.
While their affiliate program has no notable unresolved complaints their affiliate terms and conditions contain several issues that affiliates need to be aware of. You can see a summary below:
• Negative Carryover policies – if your players have a win large enough to create a significant negative balance for you, this creates a situation where you no longer have any incentive to carry on marketing the program’s brands. This leads to a short-term mind set to working relationship between the affiliate and the program.
• Requiring 5 active players in any 2 month period to receive a payment.
• Discretionary right to pay no revenue on any payment if you do not have 5 active players in a 2 month period (rather than just hold commission over until you meet this requirement).
• Closing your account if you have 6 consecutive months without any new players, including the right to withhold unpaid revenue from this period. This creates a situation where if you’ve invested a lot of time and money in sending players to this brand then choose to work with another program instead, the revenue generated on the players that you previously sent can be stripped from you without any recourse.
The above terms are very detrimental to any affiliate’s ability to earn money with 18Bet Affiliates, unless they are large and intent to keep this program at the top of their listings.
Between the negative affiliate terms and the player issues we’ve experiences, this program should be avoided by affiliates.
